These Sunday morning programs begin with a discussion of various Buddhist topics, followed by a physical, verbal and emotional expression of admiration and gratitude for enlightened beings, including Tibetan yoga, sitting meditation and compassion practice. These practices help participants nurture their inner strength and grow spiritually. We conclude with a potluck lunch. This free program is open to the public and suitable for all; you may join for some of all of the morning.

This free program is open to the public and suitable for those at all levels. No reservations are required, but if you have not joined us before, please let us know you are coming so we expect you.

Study group: Investigating Buddhist teachings to enrich our understanding

Salutations: A form of Tibetan yoga that helps improve health and forms the basis for better mediation

 

11:10 am -11:30 am
Calming Meditation: Settling and focusing our minds to make our activities more productive

 

11:30 am - 12:00 pm
Compassion Practice: Ritual practice with prayer, chanting, and meditation, to develop our innate compassion)

 

12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Lunch: Potluck lunch to enjoy the company of other practitioners; please bring a contribution

 

You may attend any or all parts of the program, as your time and interest permits.

 

Sunday Meditation is sponsored by our affiliate, the Dharmakaya Organization. It is held most Sunday mornings, if there is not a scheduling conflict. Please check the calendar to confirm.
