This engaging weekend program will immerse all Kathak dance lovers into the bliss and world of music, helping them detach from worldly needs. Throughout the weekend you will meditate and connect nature with dance and music. Saturday offers a full day of intensive workout and choreography that will help dance lovers understand and finesse the subtle nuances of technique and expressions. Investing such quality time in your art is an effective way to connect with and understand your guru’s teachings—an essential step in becoming a fine dancer.

Teacher
Pallavi Degwekar Shaikh is a Kathak artist and guru based in New Jersey, who has been performing as a soloist and teaching for more than 25 years both in India and the United States. Born and raised in Mumbai, with a lineage of Indian classical music, she is a senior disciple of the late guru Asha Tai Joglekar, completing her Master’s Degree under Asha’s able guidance.
