Trinlé Dordjé (Carlo Pani)

A bald man in glasses and Tibetan lamarobes

Born in Brussels, Belgium, Trinlé Dorjé began meditating in 1980 to help balance a busy career of teaching sports, relaxation techniques, and specialized life and business coaching. This work led him to accompany people who were at the end of their life, in particular those struggling with Alzheimers disease.

During this time he started his work as a Dharma teacher, co-founding the Zen Center of Brussels Belgium.

In 1986 he met and received teachings from Kalou Rinpoche and Lama Guendun Rinpoche; this transformed his life and led him to begin practicing Tibetan Buddhism. He embarked on his first 3 year, 3 month, 3 day retreat in 2001 at the monastery of Kundreul Ling in Le Bost France, receiving all the initiations and instructions from Shamar Rinpoche Mipahm Chocky Lodrö. Immediately after, in 2005, he went on a second 3-year retreat.

Between 2008 and 2012, he lived in monastery, teaching in France, Belgium and the Netherlands. Then, encouraged by Jewon Jigme Rinpoche, he did two additional 3-year retreats under the guidance of the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dordje. He finished the fourth retreat, on August 15th 2019.

Trinlé Dorjé considers H. E. Trungram Gyaltrul Rinpoche and Khenchen Rinpoche Drupon Trinley Paljor as his masters, from whom he has received very precious and essential teachings.
