STAY SAFE DURING COVID-19: We are committed to your health and safety; class size is limited to 8 to facilitate social distancing and ample teacher attention. Please read our COVID-19 Precautions & Preparations to understand our additional strategies.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Join the festivities and the contemplation as we blend expressive arts and gentle movement with mindfulness practices. Ambitious souls can gather with the Dharmakaya Center staff and Executive Director to witness the midnight transition from 2021 to 2022.

The rest of the weekend will offer playful creative exercises, SoulCollage®, movement, and a delightful sound bath—activities that combine to create a beautiful integration experience inviting soulful rest and restoration.

Create a Scroll that honors your core values: Rather than review the past or project the future, we begin our weekend together by attuning to the present; it is our guide, teacher, and source of innate wisdom. To guide or process we will consider questions like: What do we hold most dear?  What makes our hearts sing?

SoulCollage: A daylong contemplative journey: Developed by Seena Frost, SoulCollage involves the use of collaged imagery on 5 x 8 cards to create a “deck” that captures a glimpse of the Divine spark that lives within all of us.

SoulCollage is a beautiful creative, sacred visioning tool for accessing your deep and authentic inner wisdom. It helps unlock emotional obstacles that keep you stuck, and offers accurate guidance for how to step into the most authentic expression of your vital core self.  It is a wonderful tool for activating inner-directed purpose and guidance.

  • Guided Meditation
  • Introduction to SoulCollage
  • Tips for Creating Cards
  • The Contemplative Practice of Sifting For Imagery
  • Card Making
  • Using The SoulCollage Writing Prompt: I Am the One Who
  • Group Share

Group Meditation: Meditation offers a myriad of benefits for mind, body, and spirit. Practitioners often find it beneficial to meditate together in community, jointly increasing their depth of focus and comfort in their meditation practice. Join the Dharmakaya Center staff as you become more peaceful, feel more centered, experience a greater sense of wellbeing.

Sound Bath: Gifted Sound Healer Amy McTear creates an atmosphere that will enable you to drop into deep relaxation and soulful  restoration. Amy will bring her awesome assortment of sound tools and instruments for an evening of vibrational healing—a beautiful musical journey. Amy’s New Year’s Sound Baths are a long-standing tradition in the Hudson Valley.

Oracle Practice: Working in triads with a reader, a scribe and a witness, let your card speak its magic. What intentions or questions do you have for 2022?  We will focus on crafting the right question and on being spirited; additional imagery decks will be available for playful introspection.

Close the weekend renewed and refreshed as you enter 2022!

No art-making experience necessary; all materials will be provided.

“The process and the manifestation provided many lessons. I couldn’t believe how much creativity and contemplation was brought forward in such a short time.”
