FUNDRAISER

MEDITATE for DHARMAKAYA

HELP SPREAD THE DHARMA

RAISE SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS FOR OUR PROGRAMS

Saturday, August 13 • Worldwide

Over a 24-hour period, we invite everyone in the Dharmakaya Center family to join us in meditating to raise money for scholarships. Like popular fundraising marathons or walk-a-thons, participants will ask others to sponsor their meditation efforts. You decide how long you will meditate, how much you want to raise, and where you will be.

At the Center, we will be meditating throughout the course of the day. You are welcome to join us for an hour, an afternoon, or an overnight. Or join us from afar, by meditating in your own home, or with your own group, for however long you want.

All the money raised will go for scholarships to Dharmakaya Center programs. This is a wonderful way to support others, while also advancing your own practice.

WHY THIS MATTERS

A scholarship student shares their experience:

"This weekend was life changing.

I didn’t know what I was walking into going to the Dharmakaya Center for Wellbeing. I remember driving up the curve...Awkwardly enough, I felt this “safe energy” that was in the air. I didn’t want to accept it at first and so I kept my guard up on the first day just trying to take it all in. After going through different types of teachings and practices, I progressively let go of all my fears and just gave myself into the process.

At first, it was scary to sit with a lot of thoughts and emotions in this space because I felt thoughts rushing to my head and sensations bubbling up all over my body. But eventually, I was able to find moments of total clarity and peace I have not been able to reach with all the crazy go, go, go that I've been on for the past 28 years.

What a privilege it was to be able to take time to get away and be in meditative practice. But I learned that I don’t need to be in the middle of nowhere surrounded by nature to practice meditation or any of the teachings I learned this weekend."
